2nd Shift Production Manager

The 2nd Shift Production Manager is a key leader within our Shippensburg manufacturing operation, responsible for directing production activities, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and driving continuous improvement.

  • Oversees plant production by observing activity and setting standards to ensure production and quality needs are met.
  • Conducts meetings and discussions pertaining to continuous improvement in responsible areas.
  • Develop and maintain an environment that promotes productivity and throughput to include conflict resolution.
  • Create and maintain budgets, approve expenditures, and manage operations keeping within budgets.
  • Directs Production Supervisors and Team Reps to foster employee involvement process.
  • Assure that the production schedules are met as determined by the master schedule.
  • Assure that all units manufactured meet or exceed quality standards.
  • Aid in the development and coordination of new methods and procedures to reduce manufacturing costs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Six plus years of related work experience

Outstanding Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Knowledge and experience with production scheduling
  • Ability to implement and drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement processes
  • Heavy equipment or automotive manufacturing experience at the management level

Working Conditions

  • The position is based in a manufacturing or production environment and may involve exposure to loud noise, dust, moving machinery, or temperature fluctuations.
  • The role may require standing for extended periods, repetitive motions, lifting items up to 50 pounds, bending, kneeling, climbing, or using tools and equipment.
  • Visual and auditory acuity are needed for safe equipment operation and effective communication in a busy workspace.

Pay Range

$92,600.00 - $154,400.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
