About the role

The Production Management Associate will focus on pre-production and production support across the organization. This position is ideal for an individual with entry-level video production experience, an interest in producing digital videos, strong time management, and a desire to learn in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Video Producers and the Production Management team with the creation of longform videos
  • Assist the Production Coordinator with securing locations, crew, gear rentals, and coordinate other relevant shoot logistics
  • Own the operational side of production alongside the Production Coordinator, including production calendars and schedules, budget tracking and purchase orders, vendor communication, and production documentation
  • Coordinate and communicate information about shoots, including technical specifications and schedules between MPU production staff and production crew
  • Track footage and production assets after shoots, liaising with crew for any missing assets
  • Perform administrative duties
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet expected deadlines
  • Maintain high standard of work in a nimble, fast-paced environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 1-3 years experience in on-set video production and pre-production
  • Experience on digital video productions
  • Basic camera knowledge
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere desired
  • Documentary, journalism, and/or political experience
  • Producing, scripting, research, or development experience a plus
  • Familiarity with national politics and labor issues
  • A passion for economic justice and workers' rights
  • Strong understanding of social media, email etiquette, and exceptional interpersonal communication skills
  • Studied or currently studying in journalism, communications, film, marketing, public relations, or related field
  • Available full-time hours and able to excel in a remote/work-from-home environment

Pay

$65,000 USD per year
