About the role
The Production Management Associate will focus on pre-production and production support across the organization. This position is ideal for an individual with entry-level video production experience, an interest in producing digital videos, strong time management, and a desire to learn in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist Video Producers and the Production Management team with the creation of longform videos
- Assist the Production Coordinator with securing locations, crew, gear rentals, and coordinate other relevant shoot logistics
- Own the operational side of production alongside the Production Coordinator, including production calendars and schedules, budget tracking and purchase orders, vendor communication, and production documentation
- Coordinate and communicate information about shoots, including technical specifications and schedules between MPU production staff and production crew
- Track footage and production assets after shoots, liaising with crew for any missing assets
- Perform administrative duties
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet expected deadlines
- Maintain high standard of work in a nimble, fast-paced environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 1-3 years experience in on-set video production and pre-production
- Experience on digital video productions
- Basic camera knowledge
- Experience with Adobe Premiere desired
- Documentary, journalism, and/or political experience
- Producing, scripting, research, or development experience a plus
- Familiarity with national politics and labor issues
- A passion for economic justice and workers' rights
- Strong understanding of social media, email etiquette, and exceptional interpersonal communication skills
- Studied or currently studying in journalism, communications, film, marketing, public relations, or related field
- Available full-time hours and able to excel in a remote/work-from-home environment
Pay
$65,000 USD per year
