About the role

The Machine Operator works closely with the Shift Supervisor and Production Manager to support daily production operations. This role involves line setup and shutdown, performing material handling, monitoring basic machine functions, and ensuring product quality and workplace cleanliness. The Machine Operator is an essential part of the production team and plays a key role in keeping operations running smoothly and efficiently.

What you'll do

  • Set up and operate extrusion lines.
  • Start-up and shut down extrusion lines.
  • Change tooling as required.
  • Clean and put away tooling.
  • Change adhesive tape rolls as required.
  • Basic Maintenance when needed.
  • Perform basic trouble shooting of equipment
  • Confirm work order completion, verify documentation
  • Inspect extrusion parts during production.
  • Count parts before packing according to production standards.
  • Help pack and stack finished extrusions in correct sized boxes.
  • Help palletize boxes with the correct number of boxes.
  • Help build boxes for extrusion parts when needed.
  • Label boxes with the correct labels.
  • Keep work area clean
  • Follow safety protocols.
  • Follow 5s standards.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
  • 3+ years experience in extrusion
  • Basic mechanical skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to operate or become certified on forklift.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as required in a warehouse environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand/walk 8+ hours
  • Ability to climb ladders or operate equipment

The pay range for this role is:

19 - 23 USD per hour (Bruegmann USA, Inc)
