About the Role

As a Production Machine Operator at Mativ Conwed, LLC in Minneapolis, MN, you’ll be part of a team that powers innovation and quality every day. This is a high-profile union plant opportunity where your future starts strong.

Pay

Starting pay: $22.57/hour, increasing to $26.96/hour after 90 days. Shift differentials of $0.75/hour are available, along with regular opportunities for overtime (time and a half) and Sunday pay (double time).

Schedule

Multiple shifts available:

• 8-hour shifts:
  • 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 12-hour shifts:
  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

  Work only 15 days a month (not including overtime) with the following rotation:

  • Week #1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday (48 hours)
  • Week #2: Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday (36 hours)

Responsibilities

• Follow all company-established methods, policies, rules, practices, and procedures to ensure employee safety, product quality, and efficient operations.
• Assist with line start-up and shutdown according to procedures.
• Assist with set-up styles, including necessary adjustments, by use of set-up sheets/guidelines.
• Develop, monitor, and maintain input reports; check quality at the start of the shift and ensure quality of product throughout the shift.
• Maintain a clean line and adhere to all plant safety, quality, and attendance policies.
• Maintain communication with shift supervisor and lead operator to ensure acceptable quality, efficiencies, and material utilization.
• Demonstrate team building and dedication.
• Follow detailed procedures to operate moving machinery.

Requirements

• Manufacturing experience required.
• Regular, punctual attendance required.
• Basic computer skills—must be able to use a computer for data collection.
• Basic mechanical skills preferred.
• Forklift experience helpful.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend English.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to bend, squat, twist, push, pull, and reach above shoulder height.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
• Effective communication skills.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical, background check, and drug screen.
