About the role

Talking Rain Beverage Company is seeking a Production Line Operator to join our team. This role involves operating production packaging equipment, performing quality checks, and participating in a positive plant culture.

Responsibilities

  • Operate all production equipment in a safe manner, following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform package changeovers.
  • Down stack pallets of product in a consistently safe manner.
  • Avoid downtime by ensuring the accuracy of raw material use and availability.
  • Thoroughly complete all quality and operational paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Track and record pallet numbers correctly on the QA inspection sheet.
  • Verify all products and components match the scheduled runs and current specification sheet.
  • Inspect packages for quality and recommend improvements to increase efficiency.
  • Ensure safety by verifying all safety guards are in place before starting equipment.
  • Escalate critical issues to Leads and Shift Supervisor.
  • Collaborate with other plant teams including warehouse, production, QA, and maintenance.
  • Follow food safety, quality, and SQF practices.
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of one (1) year of work experience, preferably in the food production industry.
  • Fluent in English, able to read instructions carefully.
  • Ability to accommodate overtime, occasionally working other shifts and weekends.
  • Sitting/Standing/Walking: Approximately 95% of the time is spent standing.
  • Lifting/Carrying: Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds.
  • Vision: Ability to see the physical cleanliness of areas, objects, and equipment.
  • Reaching/Handling: Ability to handle containers and spray bottles of chemicals, as well as high-pressure water and air hoses.

  • Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Skills

  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Knowledge of food safety and SQF standards.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.

Pay

Base Hourly Rate: $22/hour + shift differential for hours worked outside of 1st shift

Schedule

Location: Onsite at our Preston, WA plant
Core Hours: Monday - Friday 3:00 pm- 3:00 am
Work a 4x12 schedule, enjoying weekends off (Saturday & Sunday) and one rotating day off during the work week.
