About the Role
Production Line Operator assist Production Line Mechanic with all direct and indirect production equipment, such as: feeders, slitters, welders, conveyors, elevators, flangers, beaders, double seamers, tester, palletizers, strappers etc.
Responsibilities
- Operate and assist Production Line Mechanic in maintaining production line efficiencies, quality of production and records.
- Perform quality checks.
- Work under the direction of Production Line Mechanic.
- Follow all required environmental, health and safety procedures.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and safety – keep work area clean.
Qualifications
- Two years of experience in a manufacturing setting (high-speed manufacturing is preferred).
- Must be mechanically inclined.
- Exhibit safety and quality as their top priorities.
- Effective and proven communication skills (both written and verbal) working in a team environment.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with metal coatings is a plus.
Education
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
Physical Demands
- Must be able to stand continuously for more than 8+ hours per shift.
- Must be able to walk, lift/carry up to 50 lbs on occasion.
- Must be able to stand, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Must be able to twist at the waist and bend repetitively.
- This position may also require climbing or balancing.
- Must be able to work up to twelve (12) hour shifts, both day and evening.
