Job Summary
The Production Lead is responsible for ensuring that orders from contracted vendors and businesses are processed, assembled, and shipped according to contract specifications. This role involves overseeing job setup for others, maintaining quality and safety standards, and collaborating with staff and clients to meet production goals. The Production Lead will also assist the Production Coordinator with daily operations and address any additional tasks as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Schedule and assign daily production tasks efficiently.
- Maintain production workflow to ensure timely completion and shipment of orders.
- Communicate and coordinate all deliveries with Management Staff to maintain adherence to contract deadlines.
- Track and manage rough and finished goods inventory.
- Order necessary parts in a timely manner, ensuring all parts are stored properly upon receipt.
- Oversee quality and quantity standards during production.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOL, and other safety regulations related to production and facility operations.
- Train and mentor new staff on production processes and safety standards.
- Promote adherence to the Agency Confidentiality Policy and other organizational protocols.
- Monitor production equipment and tools, reporting any issues to the Production Manager promptly.
- Report all production and inventory concerns to the Production Manager or Production Coordinator.
Requirements
- Education/Experience: High School Diploma/GED
- Travel: Travel is primarily during the business day, although overnight travel may be occasionally required.
- Physical Demands: Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping. Must be able to occasionally lift/and or move items up to 50 pounds. Good vision is required to perform driving responsibilities.
- Mental Demands: Continuous alertness and concentration. Occasional periods of continuous alertness and concentration.
- Hearing: Noise level on the production floor is occasionally loud and frequently moderate.
