Location: TACO Seating - Largo, Florida Department: Production Reports to: Production Supervisor Job Type: Full-time, Hourly, Non-Exempt Lead the Team. Improve the Process. Build Quality Products. TACO Metals is looking for a hands-on Production Lead who enjoys working alongside a team, solving problems, and keeping production moving forward. In this role, you will help lead daily manufacturing activities while actively participating in assembly, fabrication, sewing, and upholstery work. You will serve as a trusted resource for production employees, help maintain quality and safety standards, and support continuous improvement throughout the department. What You’ll Do Lead and participate in daily production activities, including assembly, fabrication, sewing, and upholsteryHelp coordinate work assignments, parts availability, supplies, and production prioritiesMonitor production progress and help the team meet daily schedule and output targetsProvide technical guidance, coaching, and constructive feedback to production employeesConduct periodic audits to ensure manufacturing practices meet quality and process standardsIdentify workflow challenges and recommend practical improvementsSupport 5S, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiativesHelp develop and maintain procedures, checklists, and work instructionsAssist with onboarding and cross-training new hires and temporary employeesMaintain the department’s cross-training matrix and help ensure staffing flexibilityLead daily shift start-up meetingsPromote a safe, organized, and productive work environmentStep in wherever needed to support the team and accomplish production goals What You Bring High school diploma or equivalent requiredAssociate degree or vocational training preferredAt least two years of relevant manufacturing or production experiencePrevious experience providing team leadership, training, or work directionStrong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skillsAbility to balance hands-on production work with leadership responsibilitiesExperience with sewing, upholstery, fabrication, or assembly preferredMarine seating manufacturing experience strongly preferredBilingual English and Spanish skills are a plus Physical and Work Environment Requirements This position works in an active manufacturing environment and requires: Standing and walking throughout the entire shift on a concrete floorFrequent bending, reaching, and movement throughout the production areaThe ability to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds overhead, with or without assistanceThe use of required personal protective equipmentThe ability to work around moving mechanical parts, dust, ink, solvents, vapors, and moderate noiseClose, distance, peripheral, and depth vision, as well as the ability to adjust focus Why Join TACO Metals?
