About the role

Smurfit Westrock, a leader in sustainable packaging, is seeking Production Workers at its Yakima, WA location. The role involves working through different phases of the production process to efficiently produce high‑quality product, performing quality‑assurance checks, and managing the upkeep of machines.

Responsibilities

• Execute various phases of the production process.
• Produce high‑quality product efficiently.
• Perform quality‑assurance checks during production.
• Maintain and manage the upkeep of production machines.

Qualifications

• Proven record of performance, attendance, and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated drive to achieve and advance in previous roles.
• Self‑initiated learner who gets along well with others and is helpful.
• Ability to handle physical requirements (heat, noise, shift work of 8‑hour or 12‑hour shifts), both indoor and outdoor environments.
• Mechanical, numerical, and verbal aptitude to learn job tasks quickly.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of three years of full‑time or part‑time employment or schooling (or a combination) within the last four years.
• Availability to work any of the three rotating shifts (days, swing, grave), including weekends and holidays.

Pay

The starting rate is $19.57 per hour, increasing to $25.49 per hour after probation. Salary reflects skills, competencies, and potential.

Three rotating shifts (days, swing, grave) with 8‑hour or 12‑hour schedules, including weekends and holidays.
