Production Lab Tech - Optical Inventory (NEW 3-DAY SHIFTS & differential pay!)

About the role

The company is expanding its optical manufacturing facility and is seeking new openings for ENTRY level and EXPERIENCED optical technicians. Additionally, there are STOCKROOM/INVENTORY openings available.

Responsibilities

• Help expedite job orders throughout the manufacturing process in a timely and efficient manner.
• Observe data on job orders.
• Sort and organize job orders.
• RF scan and perform other department-specific tasks.
• Print orders.
• Place tickets in job trays.
• De-box lenses from the manufacturer and place them correctly on trays for processing.
• Pre-inspect lenses for visual imperfections and send defects back to the manufacturer.
• Pick frames and lenses by locating bin numbers on the Rx, scanning barcodes on trays and frames.
• Organize job trays, sort jobs, and place them into production.
• Stock duties, receive, inventory periodically, return lenses and frames to inventory for canceled orders.
• Research order failures, load new frames in DVI, and process lens breakage.

Qualifications

• No specific education required.
• No specific experience required for entry level but prior order picking, inventory, warehouse, or mass production experience is preferred.
• Prior related or optical experience is desirable.
• Must be able to read and write English.
