Production Helper

About the role

This role is primarily responsible for assisting in the laser/denest/paint areas of the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Take parts out of denest
• Grinding parts
• Counting/packaging parts
• Other duties assigned

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, twist and transport product and materials short distances
• Basic understanding of computers and ability to perform computer functions as they pertain to the job
• Ability to work collaboratively and productively in a team environment
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
• Ability to work safely and without injury with hand tools in an environment with metal and sharp objects
• Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change
• Work in an efficient and timely manner
• Demonstrated detail orientation, self‑motivation skills and ability to multi‑task

Job Expectations

• Previous experience working within a highly technical environment
• Strong basic math skills
• Previous experience working within a powder‑coat department
• Previous paint application experience
• Take any quality concern seriously and execute right away
• Exposure to a Lean manufacturing environment
• General understanding of metric and standard systems
