Responsibilities
- Assist in the set-up and operation of printing and slitting equipment to meet quality and productivity requirements
- Complete documentation accurately
- Maintain housekeeping standards of production equipment and surrounding areas
- Perform packing and material handling tasks as needed
- Work in the cleaning room and perform core cutting as required
- Help the site meet quality objectives
- Follow all company safety rules and procedures
- Work in set-up areas as required
- Assist with training as needed
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Move product in the plant using a forklift or other powered industrial vehicles
- Perform related duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Forklift and warehouse experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good math skills—able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
- Ability to maintain excellent quality products and pay attention to details
- Proficient navigating a computer
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, blueprints, and technical drawings (machine, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical)
- Ability to write routine reports and legibly complete time cards and work orders
- Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings
- Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
- Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, or hear
- Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
- Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Work Environment
- Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration
- Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic, flammable, or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; and extreme heat
- Moderate noise level in the work environment
Pay
$20.00 per hour
