Responsibilities

• Assist in the set-up and operation of printing and slitting equipment to meet quality and productivity requirements
• Complete documentation accurately
• Maintain housekeeping standards of production equipment and surrounding areas
• Perform packing and material handling tasks as needed
• Work in the cleaning room and perform core cutting as required
• Help the site meet quality objectives
• Follow all company safety rules and procedures
• Work in set-up areas as required
• Assist with training as needed
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment
• Move product in the plant using a forklift or other powered industrial vehicles
• Perform related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Forklift and warehouse experience
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Good math skills—able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
• Ability to maintain excellent quality products and pay attention to details
• Proficient navigating a computer
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds

Skills

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, blueprints, and technical drawings (machine, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical)
• Ability to write routine reports and legibly complete time cards and work orders
• Ability to present information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings
• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
• Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, or hear
• Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
• Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Work Environment

• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration
• Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic, flammable, or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; and extreme heat
• Moderate noise level in the work environment
