Job Summary

Supports the production team through administration of the grower management process, including contract creation and maintenance, lot setup, production budget coordination, grower payments, and other crop-related financial activities. This role helps ensure accurate tracking, timely reporting, and effective financial support for domestic and international production programs.

About the role

Maintain domestic and international grower contracts, lot numbers, and field production orders to support accurate execution of production plans.

Responsibilities

  • Care for domestic and international grower contracts, lot numbers, and field production orders to support accurate execution of production plans.
  • Coordinate grower advances, settlements, and payment processing for domestic and international crops, ensuring alignment with contractual milestones, quality information, and invoice requirements.
  • Create and maintain lot budget templates and coordinate with production teams to support timely budget completion and crop cost tracking.
  • Review and post lot-specific expense invoices to ensure accurate assignment of production costs.
  • Partner with production teams across multiple locations to understand contract types, timing requirements, and region-specific needs to identify improvement opportunities in the grower payment process.
  • Partner with domestic production administrators to maintain accurate and timely production data.
  • Prepare monthly invoice accruals to finance, and related reporting to maintain accurate financial visibility for production activities.
  • Provide additional administrative support to the production group as needed to meet production objectives.

Requirements

  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to extract, organize, and analyze production, contract, budget, and payment data from multiple sources.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to prepare accurate reports, correspondence, and production-related documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues, improve processes, and support production management decision-making.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines, changing priorities, and high-volume workload in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to identify issues and follow up independently with minimal direction.

Preferred Knowledge/Experience

  • Experience supporting agricultural production, grower accounting, supply chain, or production administration preferred.
  • Experience with contract administration, budgeting, invoice processing, or production data management required.
  • Familiarity with agriculture, seed production, or crop-related administration preferred.
  • Cost accounting and inventory analysis experience is a plus.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business, agriculture, supply chain, accounting, or a related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience considered.
