Production Generalist

Location: New Prague, MN, United States, 56071 Company: Chart Industries Ensuring Chart’s Success… Chart’s New Prague, MN location is currently seeking candidates interested in our General Laborer position on our day shift. Thisposition plays a key role in the manufacturing process of Chart’s products and is primarily responsiblefor blasting, grinding and assisting department welders in performing various tank assembly functions. What Will You Do? Operating cranes,forklifts and manlifts.Blast and grind plate for internal customersApplying logos and decals to vesselsHelp prepare vessels for hydro testing (positioning, filling with water, pressurizing & liquid penetrate testing)Maintain required production and inspection recordsAssist with the assembly of vessels or othersub-assembliesMaintain the necessary equipment to perform testingObserve and practice safety procedures and policiesMay be asked to work in other areas as company needs requireOther duties and responsibilities as assigned Your Physical Work Environment Will Require… Frequent lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs. and occasionally heavier (50-60 lbs.) with assistanceFrequent sitting, standing, stooping, bending, twisting, walking and occasional crawlingFrequent pushing, pulling and handling of materialsOccasional climbing and working at elevated positionsExposure to metal cutting, welding odors, welding flash and incidental acceptable limits of x-ray radiationPossible exposure to chemical odors and temperature extremesExposure to overhead objects and occasional flying debrisRequired use of safety glasses with side shields, ANSI approved steel-toed safety shoes, hearing protection and hard hat Your Experience Should Be...
