About the role
A Production Floater supports other departments, such as assembly, shipping, and painting as needed.
Responsibilities
- Move between various stations or departments as needed
- Efficiently assemble quality production parts using hand tools, power tools, or machinery in a safe manner
- Troubleshoot issues that arise during the assembly process and help implement solutions to ensure a smooth workflow
- Identify and report any defects or issues at any given time to the appropriate supervisor
- Follow safety procedures
- Perform visual inspections to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment
- Meet production goals in a timely manner
- Communicate with other department employees and supervisors as necessary
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read blueprints and understand the assembly process
- Basic knowledge of assembly tools and equipment
- Strong attention to detail along with organizational and problem-solving skills
- Technical aptitude and an understanding of mechanical principles
- Ability to communicate openly in a team environment
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, lift heavy objects, and perform physical tasks daily
- Continuous movement of parts weighing up to 50 lbs with or without accommodations
