Production Engineer (Pay Range : $79,800 - 105,700)

About the role

Arkema is seeking a Production Engineer to support manufacturing operations and drive operational excellence at our Alsip, IL facility. This is a highly visible role with opportunities to contribute to new product commercialization, process optimization, and plant performance improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support daily manufacturing operations in a batch chemical facility
• Lead troubleshooting efforts and implement sustainable solutions
• Coordinate product scale-up and commercialization activities
• Support DeltaV process control systems and process safety initiatives
• Analyze operational performance and identify opportunities for improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
• 2+ years of chemical manufacturing experience
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience with process controls, process safety, Six Sigma, or scale-up activities is a plus

Preferred Experience

• DeltaV or other distributed control systems (DCS)
• Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Root Cause Analysis
• Process Safety programs including MOC, PHA, or LOPA
• Batch manufacturing, emulsion polymerization, or product scale-up activities
