Production Engineer

At StandardAero, we are seeking a Production Engineer to join our team in San Antonio, TX. This position offers the opportunity to build a solid career with a respected organization known for its innovative solutions in aviation.

Responsibilities

• Provides day-to-day production support to assigned processes.
• Aids in the creation of matrix routings to manage the flow of materials throughout the process.
• Analyzes, develops, and recommends methods to meet production requirements, improve efficiency, and reduce turnaround times for products and/or processes, with supporting cost analysis.
• Establishes, analyzes, and acts upon measures of performance related to processes.
• Investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies relating to equipment and processes to reduce variation and improve reliability.
• Determines the actions necessary to develop new repairs from engineering data.
• Contributes to the planning and conduct of repair trials to generate data for new repairs or to support existing repairs.
• Analyzes and documents the results of repair trials.
• Promotes and performs cost-benefit analysis for new equipment purchases.
• Collaborates with outside resources including contractors, equipment vendors, and supply vendors for process support, improvement, or repair development.
• Supports, provides technical expertise, and utilizes experience to the Design Approval Organization (DAO) to make airworthiness engineering decisions.
• Maintains current with state-of-the-art technologies and processes.
• Observes and reports immediately any unsafe practices or conditions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical, metallurgical, or aerospace engineering, or equivalent.
• Authorized to work in the US.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision-making, oral, and written communication skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Thorough knowledge of aerospace materials and processes.
