About the role
This role provides comprehensive training that lays the foundation for a long-term career with Mewbourne Oil Company. Over the course of approximately 3–to 5-year training period, you will gain exposure to all key operational disciplines, including drilling, completions, production, and HSE.
Responsibilities
- Design and supervise the drilling process, select the drilling techniques, equipment, and materials needed.
- Design and wellsite supervision of perforating, hydraulic fracturing, acidizing, and drill-outs. Material sourcing and logistics related to each.
- Monitor production rates and implement strategies to maximize extraction efficiency. This may involve artificial lift design, surface equipment design, chemical program design, evaluation of compression, emission control design, automation, troubleshooting problems such as equipment malfunctions or wellbore integrity issues.
- Design facilities for separation and measurement of oil, gas, and water. Coordinate pipeline connections to midstream providers.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including geologists, landmen, drilling crews, and environmental scientists, to achieve project objectives collaboratively.
- Maintain detailed records of operations, including drilling logs, production data, and environmental monitoring reports, and prepare technical reports and presentations for management and regulatory agencies.
Requirements
- B.S. in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering.
- 2-5 years of O&G Engineering experience.
- Oil and gas experience required.
