Production Engineer
Responsibilities
- Lead daily production operations by establishing standardized processes that support consistent performance and operational excellence.
- Monitor production performance and collaborate with leadership to achieve safety, quality, and efficiency targets.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimize material usage across manufacturing processes.
- Cook up sourcing, installation, and implementation of new equipment and production systems, including vendor engagement and project execution.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to new equipment and processes to ensure clear, repeatable operations.
- Plan and deliver training related to new equipment, processes, and production systems to ensure effective adoption by production teams.
- Support and reinforce workplace initiatives that maintain compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Assist with the development and improvement of training materials and process documentation for production staff.
- Support cross-functional teams in achieving company-wide operational objectives and continuous improvement goals.
- Contribute to special projects and additional operational initiatives as assigned by leadership.
- Participate in structured problem-solving activities to address production challenges and remove barriers to performance.
- Encourage open communication between team members and leadership to promote collaboration and effective issue resolution.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an advanced lean manufacturing facility.
- Demonstrated experience with manufacturing processes in a production environment.
- Proven continuous improvement experience, including implementation of lean manufacturing principles.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with experience managing projects from concept through implementation.
- Hands-on experience with tooling and fixture design to support production operations.
- Experience providing automation support within a manufacturing setting.
- Practical knowledge of lean manufacturing methodologies and tools.
- Able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and production leadership.
- Strong communication skills to support coaching, training, and open dialogue across teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience within the packaging or printing industry.
- Project management capability, including planning, coordination, and follow-through.
- Experience creating or improving training materials and process documentation.
- Interest in contributing to a rapidly growing engineering team during a period of significant sales growth.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
Work Environment
This role is fully on-site, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The position operates within a lean manufacturing environment that emphasizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement. The Production Engineer works closely with production teams, leadership, and cross-functional partners in a hands-on setting that includes interaction with manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, and automation systems. The environment supports a collaborative culture where open communication, structured problem solving, and ongoing process optimization are central to daily operations.
