Production Coordinator
About the role
As a Production Coordinator, you will analyze Production Execution transactions on the shop floor, ensuring prompt closure of process orders. You will act as a liaison between operators and supervisors, identifying efficiency opportunities during shifts. Additionally, you will manage inventory control by maintaining accurate counts and communicating needs to warehouse leadership.
Responsibilities
- Review open process orders by running various reports through SAP.
- Ensure the correct system goods issue (GI) and documentation of ingredients and raw materials.
- Ensure correct system goods receipt (GR) and documentation of output materials.
- Work with stakeholders to track-down and rectify entry errors.
- Create cycle counts of ZMIL and ZSFG materials as directed.
- Recommends changes to manufacturing procedures when necessary to maintain product specifications, minimize waste, improve efficiencies and reduce operating costs.
- Maintain inventory cycle count and physical inventory programs.
- Perform daily cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Aids in developing solutions to shortages, overages and inventory discrepancies.
- Aids in planning and scheduling daily operations of the plant to make the most efficient and effective use of personnel and equipment in producing the desired quality and quantity of products.
- Verify that all products meet specifications and quality standards before shipment to the customer.
- Conduct post-processing of faulty goods movements (backflush errors).
- Communicate errors to logistics and all applicable inventory concerns, special considerations supervisor.
- Reviews equipment, process checklists, system transactions and reports for accuracy and compliance with operating standards and takes action to correct any deficiencies.
- Ensures that all system transactions are accurately and timely to reflect correct inventory position at any time.
- Maintains neat, orderly and clean plant facilities, work areas and equipment to conform with safety, quality and sanitary standards.
- Actively participates in company safety program by enforcing compliance with all safety rules and regulations and takes prompt corrective action concerning any potential safety hazard.
- Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas.
- Works effectively with plant supervision, USDA, State and other agency inspectors.
- Works professionally in a team environment with coworkers and other department personnel.
- Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Associate degree preferred.
- Mechanical/analytical abilities and understanding of the production process.
- Experience with transaction codes (COGI, COR2, COR3, COR6N, COOISPI, MIGO, MMBE, MB-51, MI01, MI04) preferred.
- Ability to gain proficiency in computer operation in programs such as Excel and SAP.

- Ability to physically count articles or products on shelves, racks and pallets.
- Safely operate a lift truck.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as inventory reports, operating procedures to ensure inventory is audited and accurate.
- Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead others through change.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines.
Qualifications
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment which includes but not limited to: noise, changing temperatures (hot, wet, cold, humid), standing/walking/bending/stooping/climbing stairs, maneuvering around manufacturing equipment consistently throughout the shift.
- Noise >85Db with hearing protection.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
- Must have or the ability to obtain a lift truck certification.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Shift flexibility. This is a hands-on role for a 24/7 operation to support manufacturing. This can either be rotating shifts, days, swing or night shift and weekends.

Pay
$28.11/hr.
Schedule
Vacation coverage with a primary shift of Thursday, Friday, Saturday & every other Wednesday, 6am-6:30pm.
