THE WORK

• Maintain and update schedules for material requirements and availability for manufacturing
• Compile and manage records detailing material quantities, costs, and types received, shipped, in stock, or in production
• Expedite the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between departments in accordance with production and shipping schedules
• Identify potential and actual shortages, initiating corrective actions as necessary
• Leverage your knowledge in production, procurement, and engineering departments to alert appropriate authorities to potential issues and recommend remedial actions
• Establish sequences and lead times for each operation to meet shipping dates

Desired Skills

• Experience with product flow on the manufacturing floor
• Understanding of MRP systems/concepts
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong Excel/Microsoft Office Skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of MRP systems/concepts
