Production Control Planner
About the Role
Leidos is a Fortune 500™ company focused on solving some of the world’s most pressing challenges through science and technology. As a Production Control Planner at our new Ladson, SC manufacturing facility, you will join the Security Enterprise Solutions (SES) team, producing industry-leading screening technology for aviation, shipping ports, border crossings, and critical infrastructure. This role is vital to planning and prioritizing production activities, ensuring on-time completion of manufacturing orders (MOs), and collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain the master schedule.
Responsibilities
- Plan, control, and maintain manufacturing orders (MOs) throughout the production process.
- Organize the flow of material to meet production schedules and partner with production management to develop build plans aligned with the master schedule.
- Work with internal stakeholders to track, prioritize, and resolve material shortages.
- Identify schedule risks and deploy mitigation steps.
- Participate in defective material review as a member of the Material Review Board (MRB).
- Convey build status and on-time delivery (OTD) updates to the master schedule.
- Maintain reports on aging MOs, production supply levels, and material shortages.
- Monitor the bill of material for end-of-life (EOL) components and coordinate engineering change orders (ECO) as needed.
- Enter purchase requisitions to maintain production supply levels.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support production and operational needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 2+ years of experience. Additional years of experience may substitute for a degree.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
- Experience in manufacturing, project management, or supply chain environments.
- Experience with an MRP tool (preferably Costpoint).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications, with an emphasis on Excel.

Preferred Qualifications
- CIPM Certification.
- Experience with Cognos, PowerBI, or other SQL-based databases.
Pay
Pay Range: $65,650.00 - $118,675.00. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Additional factors, including job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, and market data, may influence the final offer.
