Production Control Manager

Overall Responsibilities
- Responsible for production planning, scheduling, material coordination, and shipping activities to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Solves complex problems and makes quick decisions to maximize production and minimize delays.
- Provides leadership and motivation to the production team, scheduling, material ordering, and shipping personnel.
- Manages transportation and oversees the Shipping Supervisor to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Improves processes through data analysis and lean manufacturing principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Planning and Scheduling: Develops and implements production plans, schedules, and priorities based on customer demands and resource availability.
- Inventor Management: Monitors inventory levels, manages materials procurement, and minimizes waste and excess inventory.
- Production Monitoring and Control: Tracks production progress, identifies bottlenecks, and implements corrective actions to maintain smooth operations.
- Transportation: Manages and organizes the scheduling of truck transportation, evaluates vendors, and rates of transportation.
- Team Leadership and Management: Supervises and motivates the scheduler, material ordering personnel, and shipping supervisor, fostering a positive work environment.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicates with various departments, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless production and delivery.
- Process Improvement: Analyzes production data, identifies areas for improvement, and implements strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field such as data analytics, business, finance, engineering, or operations management.
- 5+ years of proven experience in offensive production coordination, production control, preferably with supervisory or management experience.
- High proficiency in computer software: Excel, production control software, ERP systems, and inventory management tools.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Experience with LEAN manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and relevant regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work with all levels in the organization.
- Willingness to adapt to a dynamic, startup environment and be hands-on.

Pay and Schedule
This is an in-person work environment operating within a 24/7 manufacturing facility. Occasional off-shift coordination, weekend oversight, or emergency response to production issues may be required. The role is exempt and full-time.
