About the Role
GlobalFoundries has a 2025 Internship Position available at the Malta, NY site for a Production Control Engineer intern.
Responsibilities
- Work on projects that enable solutions driving towards delivering New Product Introduction initiatives at aggressive delivery commits
- Provide insight into the business processes involved in securing future business for the fab
- Coordinate closely with Customer Engineering, Integration, Planning, and Line control to ensure successful New Product Introduction in a timely manner
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
Required Qualifications
- At least a sophomore at time of application and actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship
- At least an overall 3.0 GPA and in good academic standing
- English fluency (Written & Verbal)
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship
- Must graduate and be ready to enter the workforce within the next year
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior related internship or co-op experience
- Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
- Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong planning & organizational skills
- Experience implementing productivity/efficiency improvements and working knowledge of factory automation
- IT skills to support data analysis and reporting
- Experience with Lean methodologies
