About the role
GlobalFoundries has a 2027 New College Graduate opportunity at the Malta, NY site for a Production Control Engineer. The role supports production planning, new product introduction execution, and data-driven manufacturing improvements in a high-volume semiconductor environment.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Production Control team to support new product introduction and manufacturing execution initiatives.
- Analyze production data and develop reporting tools that improve delivery performance and operational decision making.
- Collaborate with Customer Engineering, Integration, Planning, and Line Control teams to ensure successful product launches and factory readiness.
- Lead and support continuous improvement projects focused on productivity, efficiency, and manufacturing excellence.
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Requirements
- Graduating with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field from an accredited degree program.
- Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing.
- English language fluency (written & verbal).
- Up to 10% travel.

- Prior related internship or co-op experience.
- Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
- Strong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support effective decision-making.
- Project management skills and the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Experience with data analytics, reporting tools, and manufacturing systems.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Pay
Expected salary range: $58,400.00 – $100,800.00. The exact salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and location.
