About the role
This full-time, on-site role based in Oak Harbor, WA oversees daily production control activities, including tracking work orders, maintaining production schedules, and coordinating with operations staff to ensure timely completion of tasks. The role involves verifying documentation, monitoring inventory levels, and supporting quality checks to maintain compliance with client and internal standards. The Production Control Clerk - Lead serves as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing updates on work status and addressing routine inquiries. This role also supports and guides team members, promoting efficient workflows, accurate record keeping, and a safe, organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Track work orders and maintain production schedules.
- Coordinate with operations staff to ensure timely task completion.
- Verify documentation and monitor inventory levels.
- Support quality checks to maintain compliance with client and internal standards.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing updates on work status and addressing routine inquiries.
- Support and guide team members, promoting efficient workflows, accurate record keeping, and a safe, organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Strong production support skills, including production assistance and the ability to coordinate schedules and work orders.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality control, with experience verifying documentation and monitoring process compliance.
- Customer service skills to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders and respond to routine requests.
- Editing skills for reviewing and correcting production records, reports, and related documentation.
- Demonstrated teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate, support colleagues, and lead by example.
- Basic proficiency with office and production software (e.g., spreadsheets, databases, or ERP systems).
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in production, logistics, or operations support is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in production or inventory management is a plus.
- Ability to work on-site in Oak Harbor, WA and comply with safety and security requirements at client locations.
