About This Role In this position, you play a critical role in ensuring uninterrupted production flow through the accurate execution of material transactions, proactive material movement, and strong cross-functional collaboration. You will support daily factory operations by ensuring parts are staged, issued, and delivered to the floor effectively and in alignment with production schedules. Key Responsibilities Material Movement & Production Support Ensure required parts and assemblies reach the installation point at the proper time, sequence, and quantity, preventing line stoppages and delays.Maintain continuous production flow by supporting part delivery, staging materials, and ensuring kitting accuracy.Proactively identify material needs for upcoming builds and coordinate timely movement to support schedule adherence. Material Transactions & Data Accuracy Accurately perform all material transactions in the ERP system, ensuring traceability, correct part issuance, and alignment with work order requirements.Issue, research, and close work orders, ensuring all associated material movements are reflected correctly.Maintain detailed attention to data integrity, transaction correctness, and compliance with traceability standards. Material Shortage Management & Problem Solving Track and investigate material shortages, working with Planning, Production, and Warehouse teams to resolve issues quickly.Analyze material flow and identify root causes of shortages, proposing corrective actions to avoid recurrence. Factory Organization & Material Readiness Maintain organized material locations, staging areas, and kitting zones that support efficient and safe production operations.Implement material organization best practices to streamline material flow and reduce non-value-added time. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work closely with Planning, Manufacturing Engineering, Production, and Warehouse teams to manage product flow and meet daily production requirements.Serve as a local point of contact for material-related questions, supporting technicians and all production personnel across various process operations and functions. Analysis & Reporting Evaluate production output and provide daily updates on material readiness, shortages, and potential risks to schedule.Review cost and schedule performance impacts associated with material issues and assist with preparing discrepancy reports where needed. Compliance & Process Knowledge Understand traceability, Government Furnished Property, and FAR 52.245‑1 regulatory requirements.Ensure all material handling supports compliance with internal and government standards. Qualifications Strong understanding of material flow, kitting, and basic fabrication or assembly processes. Working knowledge of multilevel bill of materials and manufacturing routing structures. Familiarity with ERP systems and ability to quickly learn new software tools. High attention to detail, data accuracy, and problem-solving ability. Ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven manufacturing environment; self-starter with strong organizational skills. Strong communication skills enabling effective collaboration with planning, engineering, production, and warehouse teams. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, or Business Administration , or related field preferred 2-5 Years of experience in a similar role Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
