Production (Brake Assist/Sort)
Job Description
The position will be responsible for assisting in press brake operation. The position may assume additional duties as assigned.
The successful incumbent will be detail oriented, able to follow instructions well, and work well in a team atmosphere.
Activities / Tasks
- Assists in set-up of brake
- Assists brake operator with the forming operation
- Placed correct labels on parts and sorts to correct JIT kit
- Aids in inspection of parts
- Safely and effectively use tools such as hand tools, measuring tape, and machine equipment
Skills And Abilities
- Ability to interpret, sort paperwork, and engineering drawings correctly (preferred but not required)
- Ability to plan work and select proper tools
- Ability to compare and accurately determine differences in size, shape, and form of objects
- Ability to apply shop mathematics to solve problems
- Ability to correctly and safely use hand tools (both manual and pneumatic)
- Ability to read a tape measure in metric and imperial standards
- Ability to read effectively from a paper copy
- Ability to work within precise limits and/or standards of accuracy
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to follow and understand directions
Physical Demands
- Lifting up to 100 pounds; 100+ pounds with assistance
- Sitting, standing, walking, bending, grasping, pushing, pulling, crawling, climbing, twisting, reaching, working at heights, and using a ladder as required
- Ability of use both hands overhead
- Perform repetitive motions
- Plant environment with potential exposure to all types of weather, including excessive heat, excessive cold, and excessive noise
About the Role

Shifts: 1st Shift: 6:45am - 3:15pm with daily and weekend OT as needed.
2nd Shift: 2:45pm - 11:15pm with daily and weekend OT as needed.
3rd Shift: 10:45pm - 7:15am with daily and weekend OT as needed.
Pay Rate: $25.27 Plus Shift Differential for 2nd & 3rd Shifts: $2.00 per hour

Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
Previous shake experience preferred but not required
