Production Associates - Takeoff - 2nd Shift

Job Summary

This entry-level position functions as a flexible resource throughout the department to ensure daily production. This team member works in all major production positions as needed; they must be flexible and adaptable to meet the quickly changing needs of the operation. This role is also responsible for visually inspecting and removing finished parts from a moving production line.

Essential Functions

• Performs a wide range of job responsibilities in all production areas as needed
• Properly removes all finished parts from the row
• Consistently picks-out and removes defects from a moving line
• Follows all standard work procedures
• Maintains a clean work area
• Differentiates between scrap defects and re-run defects
• Packs finished parts efficiently
• Any other duties as requested

Qualifications

• Ability to use both hands to pick-up and manipulate small parts simultaneously
• Must be able to work overtime as needed, sometimes on short notice or on weekends
• Able to work at a fast pace, standing or walking most of the shift
• Can successfully work in a team environment
• Able to follow standard operating procedures and take direction from others
• Ability to differentiate between different sizes, shapes, styles and colors
• Ability to read/set scales
