Production Associate - Pallet Chop Saw

About the role

As a vital piece of our pallet manufacturing process, you’ll set up and operate power saws to slot, cut, and trim wood for pallet creation, ensuring our builders are set up for success.

Responsibilities

• Operate chop saws to cut and trim wood pallets
• Follow and adhere to all safety rules and regulations
• Communicate effectively with plant management on a regular basis
• Lift wooden pallets weighing about 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Work overtime as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to lift 50–75 pounds repetitively and adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts
• Previous lumber, warehouse, construction, carpentry, landscaping, or roofing experience highly preferred
• Quick hands, attention to detail, and commitment to quality
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to work in extreme conditions (elements, heat, cold, air particulate)
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, and color vision

Pay

$16.00 per hour

Schedule

1st Shift, Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Work Environment

• Repetitive lifting of 50–75 pounds
• Exposure to extreme conditions (elements, heat, cold, air particulate)
• Varying shift lengths
• Noise levels dependent on location; Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required (eye protection, ear protection mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)
