Production Associate - Packaging 1st Shift

About the role

Your future belongs at the home of the Excellent Chicken—Bell and Evans! The team member is responsible for performing all duties within the Thigh department to fill customer orders.

Responsibilities

• Measure the weight and label all product cases before boxing and shipment.
• Ensure tray counts are accurate, proper labels and correct dates are applied.
• Identify product in box, use correct box (organic/RWA), place on scale, and label with correct weight and identification.
• Verify all information on case label is accurate.
• Clean scale at the end of each shift and learn to change label rolls and apply labels.
• Take a proactive role in addressing safety and quality concerns to ensure safe, quality products.
• Operate the weight price machine and verify the accuracy of printed label information against the product and master case label.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Assist with hand palletizing cases (up to 50 lbs.) when excess cases accumulate on the lines.

Requirements

• Ability to speak English and/or Spanish.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
