Production Associate - Night Shift

About the role

Location: Jackson, TN. Reporting to the Production Supervisor as a Production Associate, you will support production operations at Sonoco, a global leader in packaging solutions with over 125 years of history and operations in 34+ countries.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain production equipment or machinery.
• Prepare, inspect, and measure raw materials.
• Check components for compliance with tolerances or specifications and may perform finish work.
• Perform basic trouble shooting, clear jams, and splice and thread membrane into equipment.
• Provide training or guidance to new production workers.

Requirements

• Ability to perform work under general supervision.
• Handle moderately complex issues/problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Effective communicator over the public address system.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to subordinate group.
• 2 to 4 continuous years of experience operating machines.

Pay

Base rate: $22.18 per hour, with a shift differential of $1.00 per hour.

Schedule

Night Shift (7:00 pm – 7:30 am) following a 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off rotation.
