Production Associate Light Lifter 2nd Shift

Objective

To package all finished fresh product efficiently meeting customer requirements.

Duties

• Pack fresh product per customer specifications.
• Ensure the quality of the product being packaged is not compromised.
• Maintain work area clean and in order.
• Work as a team to meet daily production schedule.
• Notify team leader when equipment maintenance is required.
• Work in a safe manner at all times to protect yourself and co-workers.
• Perform other jobs as assigned.

Working Conditions

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have good eye coordination.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, pull and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time that vary from 8 to 12 hours.
• Must be able to work in an area of 20° to 45 degrees.
• Frequently requires lifting, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, smelling, listening, speaking, and seeing to perform the essential job duties.
• Exposure to potentially dangerous machinery and equipment are present in the plant.
• Potential electrical, mechanical, and chemical hazards are also present.
• The noise level is high and constant.
• Floors are damp and slick.
• Work conditions vary, quitting time will vary based upon production needs, and flexibility is critical.

Knowledge

• Know metal detector policy and proper handling of product.
• Keep the packing equipment and work area in a safe and orderly manner.
• Know and understand how to keep area clean.
• Have basic understanding of GMP’s.
• Know and understand safety guidelines.

Education and Work Experience

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
• Ability to communicate and work well with others in a team effort.
