Production Associate (day shift)

Responsibilities

• Controls operation of single or multiple production machines for the process of manufacturing products.
• Works in teams on continuous improvement projects.
• Operates a grid/lumbar assembly machine to process straight wire into mats, which are then assembled into automotive seating.
• Carries completed bundles of approximately 50 pieces to a strapping machine for tying and container placement.
• Responsible for producing quality products and identifying issues.
• Notifies appropriate personnel to address machine malfunctions.
• Performs other duties as requested or deemed necessary.

Requirements

• Sufficient dexterity and mechanical understanding to operate an automated machine.
• Able to understand both verbal and written instructions, including following construction blueprints and documenting processes.
• Able to identify proper product quality.
• Basic understanding of and full compliance with all standard safety practices.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing skills improvement classes related to IATF-16949/ISO-9001:2015, Kaizen, and SMED.
• Monday to Thursday schedule from 6:45 am to 5:15 pm.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Dexterity and mechanical understanding to operate an automated machine.
• Ability to understand both verbal and written instructions.
