Production Associate

Location: Tupelo, MS

Pay

$16.94 - $17.95 per hour (DOE) + any applicable shift differential pay

Schedule

Multiple shifts available. Overtime as needed.

About the role

While reporting to the Production Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for packing products in a quick, safe, and efficient manner. Excellent attendance is crucial to the team's success. This role requires a proven ability to perform in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, collaborate across departments, identify defects on the packing line, and maintain a strong commitment to quality and safety standards. You will take pride in your hands-on abilities, analytical thinking, organizational skills, and attention to detail while supporting ThermoSafe’s operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Safety is the #1 priority at all times
• Pack products accurately and efficiently to meet production requirements
• Collaborate closely with production teams and other departments
• Maintain a high regard for 5S and workplace organization standards
• Troubleshoot production issues and respond effectively to changing situations
• Monitor and report on the quality of manufactured products
• Consistently move product and place it in designated pack-out locations throughout the shift
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area at all times
• Perform all duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager
• Support ThermoSafe’s quality and safety policies and procedures
• Assist other departments as needed to meet operational demands
• Work overtime as required

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Strong sense of urgency with a "get it done" attitude
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Working knowledge of manufactured products and quality requirements
• Reliable, committed, self-motivated, and quality focused
• Strong teamwork skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions
• Ability to perform repetitive duties, including climbing stairs and standing for extended periods
• Ability to work quickly while maintaining craftsmanship and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous forklift certification and experience safely operating a forklift
• Experience with 5S and continuous improvement initiatives
• Experience supporting quality and safety programs in a manufacturing environment
• Proven ability to identify defects and maintain high quality standards

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Regular standing and walking throughout the workday
• Repetitious duties in a manufacturing environment
• Frequent use of hands and arms to perform job duties
• Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, speaking, and hearing
• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds as needed
• Work is performed in a manufacturing environment that is not temperature controlled
• Exposure to varying indoor temperatures and seasonal conditions typical of an industrial production setting
• Exposure to moving mechanical equipment, chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, and elevated noise levels
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory and hearing protection, may be required based on job assignments and work area conditions
