Production Associate

About the role
This position works 12-hour rotating shifts, including day and night shifts, as part of a self-managed production team in a highly automated de-inking process using state-of-the-art equipment.
Responsibilities
- Work safely and ensure the safety of others.
- Learn a minimum of 3 of 6 positions within the mill, which may include:
- Operate Wetlap machine and Dryer
- Run Quality Testing on finished product
- Operate equipment in facility through DCS/Delta V
- Perform on-shift maintenance tasks
- Handle chemical unloading and process checks
- Operate bale line and load finished goods
- Troubleshoot and correct process issues.
- Unload trailers of waste paper with forklifts.
- Grade waste paper to determine mix and blends for finished goods quality.
- Safely set up batches for the pulping system with the optimal mix of waste paper to maintain quality and maximize profitability.
- Communicate with co-workers during the shift and with on-coming/out-going shifts regarding key information (e.g., shift performance, waste paper quality, finished goods testing results).
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a paper mill, production, or warehouse role preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Safety-conscious mindset and adherence to safety procedures.
- Flexibility to work a Du Pont schedule and overtime as needed.
- Forklift experience preferred (training can be provided).

Schedule
12-hour DuPont schedule that includes day shifts (6:30 AM–6:30 PM) and night shifts (6:30 PM–6:30 AM).
Pay
From $27.04 per hour.
