Production Associate

Pay Range: $14.00 to $16.00 per hour

Job Summary

The Production Associate at RWB Thrift is responsible for executing diverse tasks and processes within back‑room operations. This position requires attention to detail, physical endurance, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment. Production Associates may be assigned to various roles within the back‑room, and a top‑performing individual is eager to enhance and broaden their skills to meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Hanger (Colgador): Ensure products destined for the sales floor are properly hung and placed on the appropriate rack, paying attention to color order, sleeve length, and garment type.
• Tagger (Etiquetador): Accurately affix price tags to products according to company standards and enter prices into the pricing machine; work side‑by‑side with the Pricer to learn pricing tasks.
• Pricer Support (Personal de apoyo del cotizador): Learn pricing tasks to provide coverage during the Pricer’s absence.
• Tallyer & Sensor Support (Personal de apoyo de los asociados de recuento y sensores): Meticulously count items intended for the sales floor, attach sensors to products as required, and ensure accurate inventory tracking.
• Runner (Cadete): Deliver priced merchandise to its designated location on the sales floor, maintain organization and color order, monitor floor conditions for safety, and assist customers as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in back‑room areas.
• Follow company policies and procedures for efficient and safe operations.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and support store operations.

Qualifications

• Previous thrift, retail, warehouse, or back‑of‑house experience is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely perform essential job functions in accordance with ADA, FMLA, and other applicable standards.
• Physical strength: occasionally lift and carry up to 25 lb; frequently exert up to 25 lb of force; continuously apply negligible force when handling objects.
• Endurance: stand for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity: perform repetitive motions with hands and fingers.
• Fine motor skills: seize, hold, grasp, turn, or otherwise work with hands.
• Balance and agility: maintain equilibrium on narrow, slippery, or moving surfaces.
• Visual acuity: clear vision at 20 inches or less and at 20 feet or more.

• Bright lighting throughout front and back of store; ability to work effectively in bright conditions.

• High degree of flexibility; employees may be asked to switch tasks or departments based on operational needs.

Language Requirements

Employees are not required to communicate exclusively in English, but a fundamental understanding of written and spoken English is necessary for comprehending instructions and communicating with customers, donors, colleagues, and supervisors who primarily use English.
