About the role
This second-shift Production Associate role (Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM) is responsible for producing high-quality products in a timely and safe manner while adhering to company standards and procedures. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is committed to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and inspect products through machine operation, following written and oral procedures.
- Perform machinery startup and shutdown, and set up tools using jigs, fixtures, and attachments.
- Maintain proper machine control settings to ensure optimal performance.
- Collect statistical data and maintain accurate documentation for production processes.
- Conduct regular inspections of products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Identify, report, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to product quality or machinery operation.
- Meet productivity goals consistently and demonstrate a proactive approach to work.
- Perform housekeeping duties, including 5S and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
- Promptly report any abnormalities in product quality or machinery to the Team Leader.
- Understand and comply with Quality Management System (QMS) policies and procedures.
- Understand and comply with Environmental Management System (EMS) policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Team Leader or Management.
Qualifications
- Willing and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Flexible to work overtime, often with short notice, and to adapt to shift work.
- High School Diploma, GED, or vocational/technical certification preferred.
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience operating electrical and mechanical manufacturing machinery preferred.
- Inventory control experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Lifting up to 50 lbs. (75 lbs. with assistance).
- Standing or sitting for long periods.
- Performing repetitive motions.
- Working in a manufacturing environment with associated hazards.
