Production Associate
About the role
The Georgia-Pacific Asheboro, NC plant is seeking Entry-Level Production Associates to join our team. This role offers training to learn corrugated box production from start to finish, with opportunities for advancement.
Responsibilities
- Operate equipment to defined standards and product specifications
- Monitor and/or enter data into computer control systems
- Monitor and troubleshoot equipment to optimize production
- Perform basic asset care duties, including preventative maintenance and cleaning
- Work as part of a team to meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals
- Operate and/or work around mobile equipment
- Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment
- Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and pulling for up to twelve hours a day in a noisy, industrial environment
Requirements
- Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, or military environment
- Completion of post-high school education in a manufacturing/industrial centered program
Qualifications
- Experience using a computer, tablet, or smart device
- Experience working in the corrugated industry
- Two (2) or more years of work in a high-speed, team-based manufacturing environment

Pay
$20.50 per hour, with shifts differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
Schedule
- 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (starts Monday night, finishes Saturday morning at 7AM)
