Production Associate

About the role

Georgia-Pacific is seeking safety-oriented individuals to join their team as a Production Associate in their climate-controlled facility in Tolleson, AZ!

Shift

This facility operates on a 5-2-2-5 schedule. Shifts are 12 hours long, starting from 6:45 AM to 7:00 PM and 6:45 PM to 7:00 AM. Candidates must be able to work both days and nights, rotating every two weeks.

What You Will Do

- Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets - Monitor and/or enter data into computer control systems - Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production - Perform basic asset care duties, including routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of work area - Work as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals - Operate and/or work around mobile equipment

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

- Experience in a manufacturing, agricultural, warehouse, or military environment - Completion of post-high school education in manufacturing/industrial fields - Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts on a 5-2-2-5 schedule

What Will Put You Ahead

- Experience using a computer, tablet, or smart device - At least one year of experience working in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment - Experience working in the corrugated packaging industry

Other Considerations/Physical Requirements

- Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment - Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling for up to twelve hours a day in a loud/noisy, industrial, high-volume environment

Pay

The starting hourly rate is $21.65, with a shift differential of $1.00 per hour between 7 PM and 7 AM. There is also the potential for a 6% quarterly bonus through the Performance Pay program.
