Production Associate

About the role

Georgia-Pacific seeks a Production Associate at our Owosso, MI facility. The position is open to those willing to work shifts including first, second, and third shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets.
• Monitor and/or enter data into computer control systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment to optimize production.
• Perform basic asset care duties, including routine preventative maintenance and cleaning of work area.
• Work as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals.
• Operate and/or work around mobile equipment.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment.
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and pulling for up to twelve hours a day in a loud/noisy, industrial, high-volume environment.

Requirements

Candidates must be flexible to work any shift and available to work first, second, or third shift as needed. The first two weeks of orientation will be on first shift, and permanent shifts will be assigned after orientation.

Qualifications

• Previous work experience.
• Experience working in a corrugated box plant.
• Experience using a computer, tablet, or smart device.

Pay

$22.52 per hour, with 2nd shift differential of $1.75 per hour and 3rd shift differential of $1.00 per hour.

Schedule

Shifts available: 1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Starts Monday night, finishes Saturday morning at 7AM)
