Production Associate

About the role

The Georgia-Pacific Asheboro, NC plant is seeking Entry-Level Production Associates to join our team. This role offers training and the potential for advancement within our facility.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment to defined standards and product specification targets
• Monitor and/or enter data into computer control systems
• Monitor and troubleshoot equipment to optimize production
• Perform basic asset care duties, including preventative maintenance and cleaning
• Work as part of a team to meet or exceed production, waste, quality, and safety goals
• Operate and/or work around mobile equipment
• Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and pulling for up to twelve hours a day in a noisy, industrial environment

Requirements

• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, or military environment
• Completion of post-high school education in a manufacturing/industrial centered program

Qualifications

• Experience using a computer, tablet, or smart device
• Experience working in the corrugated industry
• Two (2) or more years of work in a high-speed, team-based manufacturing environment

Pay

$20.50 per hour, with shifts differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Schedule

Shifts available: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Orientation is on 1st shift, and permanent shifts are assigned after orientation.
