Production Associate

About the role

Freudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies runs the business operations of Freudenberg Sealing Technologies (FST) in the Americas. As a joint venture between Freudenberg and NOK Corp. in Japan, we are headquartered in Plymouth, MI and employ approximately 4,700 people across the Americas.

Responsibilities

• Operate a production line while adhering to company standards for safety, cleanliness, quality, and productivity.
• Pull product, conduct production and quality inspections on all work orders.
• Record batch and cure dates accurately.
• Read and identify special requirements and packaging instructions from work orders.
• Maintain line performance by ensuring output and uptime.
• Inspect cords for defects on both raw materials and finished products.
• Pick and put away products/materials using forklifts/cherry pickers for production operations.
• Digitally document process and quality data.
• Ensure products are labeled correctly and relabel when necessary.
• Operate and monitor production equipment, ensuring compliance with Quality Policies and initiating corrective actions if deviations occur.
• Clean and maintain machines and equipment, returning extra material to its original location.
• Maintain all safety and 5S standards.
• Adhere to ISO standards and participate in audits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, Technical Training, or equivalent degree.
• High level of commitment and flexibility.
• Willingness and ability to work shifts.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds on a semi-regular basis.
• Basic-level English language skills preferred for reading instructions and safety manuals.
• Basic computer skills (preferred).
• Ability to identify, pull, splice, and vulcanize appropriate materials per the work order.
• Communicate clearly and engage proactively with colleagues.

Schedule

On-Site Freudenberg-NOK General Partnership payments: $19.00 per hour.
