Production Associate

About the role

J.C. Schultz Enterprises, Inc./dba FlagSource is a customer-driven and technology-focused company founded in 1920. Located in Batavia, Illinois, FlagSource is a full-service flag manufacturer producing US Flags, State Flags, Military Flags, International Flags, and custom flags, banners, table throws, and trade show items.

Responsibilities

• Manually fold nylon and polyester fabric flags according to specified guidelines
• Hem flags, pole sleeves, and fringe using industrial sewing machines
• Trim flags using industrial sewing machines
• Assemble material to produce or finish products from raw material
• Run the automatic joining machines and troubleshoot machine issues
• Slit fabric to the correct measurements on a slitter machine
• Inspect custom and stock fabric products measuring dimensions and examining color, defects, ink marks, or other imperfections
• Bag flags, pick orders, pack orders, and prepare them for shipment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for some positions

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a production environment
• Previous experience sewing on an industrial sewing machine, highly desired
• Good communication skills to coordinate with team members
• Ability to work efficiently under time constraints
