About the role

Operates assigned enameling lines/ovens in a safe and efficient manner to achieve and maintain high-quality magnet wire manufacturing operations consistent with the control plan as well as with the plant and division goals. Assists in training new associates.

Schedule

Night shift, 12-hour shifts (8:00 PM – 8:00 AM) on a staggered schedule.

Responsibilities

• Proper set up and operation of assigned enamel lines.
• Work in a safe and efficient manner; maintain a safe workplace by anticipating, recognizing, and reporting potential workplace hazards.
• Comply with environmental rules and standards; attend required safety and environmental training.
• Ensure the quality of the finished product; identify problems in the enameling process and complete corrective action.
• Read, understand, and follow all instructions including manufacturing instructions, work instructions, and set-up sheets.
• Monitor machine processes and make appropriate and timely adjustments.
• Perform all team operations including start-ups, changeovers, and welds.
• Monitor all aspects of the payoff area to ensure a continuous supply of high-quality bare wire to the enameling lines.
• Monitor all aspects of the take-up area to ensure requirements are met and reels are promptly and properly stripped and packed, adhering to proper package code, size, and weight (including minimums and maximums).
• Maintain housekeeping standards.
• Complete forms, checklists, audits, and other required paperwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
