Production Associate

About the role

The Production Associate performs duties according to the established Best Practices of ESGW, meets daily production goals, and assists in all aspects of production as directed. The role involves processing donations, sorting and preparing merchandise for sale, replenishing stock, and removing merchandise from the sales floor. Associates greet and assist guests and donors, and may be assigned to accept donations at the donation door.

This position requires working with people having different abilities, performing repetitive tasks independently, and cross-training across production areas. Knowledge of current trends is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Process donations and prepare merchandise for sale
• Sort, replenish, and remove merchandise from the sales floor
• Greet and assist guests and donors
• Accept donations at the donation door as needed
• Assist in all aspects of production as directed
• Work collaboratively with people of different abilities

Requirements

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks independently
• Physical ability to stand, stoop, bend, and carry items for an entire shift (excluding break times)
• Use of hands for simple grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation
• Tolerance to extreme changes in temperature and humidity
• Ability to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility and community
• Completion of a background check (criminal convictions do not automatically bar employment)
