Production Associate

About the role

ASGCO engineers, manufactures, and distributes a wide array of conveyor and screening components for mining, aggregate, cement, recycling, bulk shipping terminals, pulp and paper, food processing and other bulk material handling industries. We focus on providing exceptional products and service to our customers with the best solutions to their conveyor and screening material handling applications.

Responsibilities

• Operate saws, cranes, and machines
• Review and interpret written and verbal work instructions
• Accurately read measuring devices
• Effectively prioritize workloads and use of available resources within time constraints
• Assist with keeping the shop orderly and clean, following all company safety procedures
• Responsible for quality control of all jobs and orders
• Other responsibilities as seen fit by management

Requirements

• Must pass a background check and drug screen
• High School Diploma or GED
• 2–4 years of relative experience in a manufacturing facility and working with general machines
• Knowledge of measurements and using a tape measure
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Attendance and reliability required
• Strong attention to detail and good interpersonal skills
• Can lift up to 50 lbs, bend, kneel, reach and stand for long periods; significant fine finger dexterity

Working Conditions

• Frequently exposed to regulated noise and cold working conditions; also exposed to smells within guidelines
• Possible exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, fumes or airborne particles
• Required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, work on elevated platforms, talk, hear and see
• Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) during the workday
• Personal protective equipment required regularly, which may include hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed respirator, gloves and other required protective equipment
• May be required to work overtime on an as-needed basis
