Production Associate

About the role

Responsible for safely loading, unloading and moving materials in the plant.

Responsibilities

• Alert Setup Technician and Changeover Technician using the light system to keep them informed of production status
• Keep the work area clean and clutter free: pick up scrap material around the production lines and cut scrap off cores.
• Perform quality control checks on product and ensure all are properly labeled before stacking finished product.
• Packages bags/rolls and keeps accurate counts in computer system.
• Helps the team give 10 and 20 minute breaks.
• Alerts Setup Techs to questions or concerns by utilizing white stack light.
• Absorbs and assembles boxes.
• Performs quality control checks on product and labels.
• Stacks finished product.
• Picks up scrap around his/her lines, including change-over rolls.
• Throws away all labels from previous job.
• Keeps work area clean and clutter free; including tables, scales and floors.
• Weighs boxes and enters into the computer system.
• Pulls resin as needed.
• Weighs, packages and labels finished product.
• Might be used for training new person.
• Works a 12-hour day, 4 days a week; every other weekend is mandatory.
• Might be required to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Manufacturing experience preferred
