Production Associate

About the Role

This position is responsible for assisting with daily production while working with components in an organized manner within an assigned area. The Production Associate accurately and efficiently completes orders to established procedures and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily production to ensure the highest quality of production is achieved.
• Review daily manufacturing functions and job orders to ensure awareness of requirements.
• Ensure the safe operation of equipment.
• Recommend measures to improve production methods and quality of product.
• Report immediately to supervisor/lead/manager any and all problems which may affect safety, equipment, tooling, and/or quality.
• Maintain full working knowledge of all processes.
• Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
• Conduct himself/herself in a professional manner in accordance with company guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Tenacity in overcoming obstacles while maintaining productive and positive working relationships.
• Ability to execute in a rapidly changing fast-paced environment that requires strong teamwork.
• Understanding of all tools, gages, equipment, and other various instruments used to perform the position.
• Basic ability to understand blueprints, schematics, and instrumentation diagrams.
• Skill in performing accurate arithmetic functions involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; using decimals, percentages, fractions, and ratios.

Qualifications

Equivalent of high school diploma or G.E.D. certification. Previous experience in a similar manufacturing setting is preferred.

• Regularly required to stand and walk throughout the building and along the conveyor line.
• Frequently required to reach over shoulder height with hands and arms.
• Required to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time.
• Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Must regularly lift up to 50 pounds and move wheeled carts up to 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• May be required to work with or near hazardous materials.
• May be exposed to hot surfaces, hot components, hot air, electrical hazards, and sharp metal edges.
