Production Associate 3rd Shift

Job Summary

The Production Associate oversees and performs tasks to produce high-quality product that meets customer specifications. The primary responsibility is ensuring the quality of materials and products, achieving performance targets, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

• Completes various production tasks as assigned by the Production Operator
• Clears pan jams from the line, removes and adds baking pans as needed
• Troubleshoots basic causes of line stops and restarts production
• Aids the production operator in line startups and changeovers
• Maintains product quality and ensures compliance with customer specifications
• Maintains high production rates as set by the Operator and Production Supervisor
• Separates rework from raw dough waste to minimize waste
• Maintains high rates of production as set by the Operator and Production Supervisor
• Monitors and delivers side trimmings to the mixer; notifies the operator when side trimmings exceed acceptable rates
• Removes all out-of-spec product from the line and notifies the Production Supervisor of any non-conforming product or processes on the line
• Contributes to a safe and efficient work environment
• Attends monthly safety meetings when applicable
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance, safely performs tasks, and adheres to all safety policies and procedures
• Performs other related responsibilities as needed or directed by the Production Supervisor and Manager to support Crown Bakeries' business objectives
• Plans, solves problems, fosters healthy peer relations, and motivates others

Qualifications and Skills

• Follows all GMP's, Food Defense, and quality policies
• Ensures compliance with all GMP, food hygiene, and safety standards
• Reports all food safety incidents such as GMP violations, ingredient and product contamination, metal detector, screen or magnet deviations, glass breakage, and pest harborage
• Able to acquire a wide variety of skills to assist the surrounding team and fully understand the processes
• Problem-solving, learning on the fly, processing, and technical learning abilities
• Quality decision-making skills
• Able to work in a team environment as well as independently
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds, reach above shoulder height, bend, twist, stand, climb stairs/ladders, push/pull, and walk for the duration of the shift
• Able to work in a noisy environment for the duration of the shift
• Able to stand for long periods of time
